I’ve always been agnostic about gear. I try to select the best equipment based on the project details and budget. I have relationships with rental houses across the country to supply the right package for whatever a production needs, where and when it’s needed.
There is always a camera in-house that I can grab to do an emergency last minute interview or green screen setup. Right now it’s the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K along with Light panels, Luxli and Intellytec LED lighting and a garage full of grip gear.
